GENERATION YOGA: YOGA FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES
Generation Yoga is yoga for every generation. Every class aims to inspire you to play, get free and find joy in your own beautiful body. Yoga will generate more health, peace, and joy in your life. Yoga will also generate these things in the lives that you touch because what you live affects and inspires every person you come into contact with. That’s the power of yoga!
About Jacqueline Maloney (RYT, RCYT): I’ve had a love affair with movement my entire life. I love the freedom of moving from the inside-out. Yoga changed my life. Finding YogaDance was like coming home. I’ve suffered from anxiety and depression since I was a young child. When I found yoga as a young woman, it brought me such peace. I wanted to share this gift with everyone! Yoga has lead me to a universe inside of myself. It’s been an incredible, never-ending adventure. In my classes, I will guide you to move from the inside out, transitioning from ecstatic movement to blissful stillness. You’ll discover your own practice, one that makes your heart sing. You’ll sweat, breathe, play, pause and relax. Come to revel in your own beautiful body!
Training and Experience: Learning is a lifelong path! I continually move deeper into my practice and study of yoga through workshops and trainings. Most recently, I completed the 200-hour Anusara Path to Teaching with Chris Chavez. I completed my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Semperviva Yoga Studios in Vancouver. I’ve done Children’s Yoga Teacher Training with both Shakta Kaur Khalsa of Radiant Child, and Maalaa of Kids’ Yoga Now. I’ve also assisted Maala with several of her Kids’ Yoga Teacher Trainings. I completed a 100-hour Kripalu YogaDance Teacher Training with Megha Nancy Buttenheim of Let Your Yoga Dance. Some of the master teachers that I have attended workshops with are: Amy Weintraub, Anodea Judith, Baron Baptiste, Brad Waites, Dana Flynn, Gurmukh, Janet Stone, John Friend, Maria Garre, Martin Kirk, Nischala Joy Devi, Swami Maheshwaranada, Swami Muktidharma, Sadie Nardini, Savitri of Purna Yoga, and Shiva Rae. I offer my profound gratitude to each of my teachers for their inspiration and guidance.
